Entering the Temple Grounds お寺に向かいます。 Before stepping into the garden, Hasekko press their hands together in prayer 光則寺の門の前ではせっこたちは手を合わせ、ののさまにあいさつします。 Coming Together みんなで、いっしょに As she enters the worship space from the gardens outside, one girl pauses to take it all in before joining her classmates on the floor. Hasekko removed their shoes and entered the temple alone and in small groups, and then came together as one on their knees in the center of the room. Overhead were paper flowers that symbolized the fall sakura which were said to bloom unseasonally on the day of Nichiren's death. お寺の庭から本堂に入るとき、友だちに続いて入ろうとした子が、息をのんで一瞬立ち止まりました。 グループごとにひとりずつ靴を脱いで本堂にあがり、本堂の真ん中で膝をつめて集まります。 頭のうえには紙でつくられた御会式桜が飾られています。この桜は、日蓮聖人が亡くなった日に季節外れの桜が咲いていたことから、御会式の象徴とされています。 Honoring Nichiren 日蓮聖人に敬意を表して Several Hasekko offer flowers in memory of Nichiren, and then the story of his life unfolds before everyone on a storyboard. Hasekko listened closely, many with hands pressed together. 何人かの子どもが日蓮聖人に花を捧げたあと、紙芝居で日蓮聖人のことを教えてもらいました。 はせっこたちは手を合わせ、肩を寄せあって話を聞いていました。 Sakura Petals! サクラの花びら！ Closely inspecting and arranging the petals she received, Hasekko prepare for the upcoming ceremony. Every child received four sakura petal cards to participate in the falling of the petals ceremony. Each petal was thrown up individually, and at the end of the ceremony, petals covered the floor. 桜の花びらが子どもたちに配られました。子どもたちは花びらをよく見てきちんと揃え、全員が四枚ずつもらうのを待ちます。桜の花びらをまく時間です。 すべての花びらが宙に舞い、最後は床が花びらで敷きつめられました。

Hasekko gather and pause for a moment to look for turtles and fish in the lake below. The fence offered a nice resting spot after the journey to the park. Mothers and fathers were welcomed to accompany their Hasekko on the outing. 公園に着くと、はせっこたちは池の前に集まってしばらく立ち止まり、下を見おろしてカメや魚がいないか探していました。この木の柵は、公園にやってきてひとやすみするのにちょうどいいですね。 保護者たちも、子どもの秋のお出かけにつきそいます。 Look what I found! 見て！こんなの見つけたよ Hasekko enjoy looking for acorns together under the trees and then proudly show what they've collected. こどもたちが木の下でどんぐりを探し、集めたものを自慢そうに見せてくれました。 Resting didn't last for long! After the acorn hunts, Hasekko designed games resembling group charades and chase. The class then changed locations, met up with another class and performed their group charade a replica of a whale shark! The other class was very creative, as well. Their presentation included an obento box and a dragon. Following the games, everyone took a break to eat lunch together before splitting off again to enjoy their afternoon as individual classes. 秋のお出かけに、ゆっくり休んでいる時間なんてありません！ どんぐり探しのあとは「ねんどゲーム」の準備。「（こねたら）こーんなかたちに、なっちゃった。これ、なーんだ」のかけ声で何かになりきり、それを当てるゲームです。今日は保護者もいっしょにクラス対抗で相手のなりきったものを当て合うので、何になりきるかクラスで話し合い、練習しました。 このあと他のクラスとの待ち合わせ場所に向かい、ゲームの開始。あるクラスはジンベイザメに、あるクラスはお弁当箱とドラゴンに。どちらもとても創造的です。 ゲームのあとはお弁当タイム。そしてすぐにまた別れて、クラスごとにそれぞれの目的地に出発しました。 Joy in Mountain Climbing... and Sliding! 山をのぼってすべって！たのしい〜 Hasekko climb the muddy slope using everything in their reach, including a natural rope, the ridges and ledges on the side of the hill, tree roots or branches, and each other. Once at the top, sliding or climbing down coated many a pair of pants in mud and elicited both laughter and tears. The natural playground in the hills of Kamakura provided for hours of challenging fun! 手の届くところにあるものすべて、蔦のロープ、丘陵の尾根や岩、木の根っこや枝といったものを使って、はせっこたちは泥だらけの坂をのぼります。てっぺんまで登ったら、こんどはズボンを泥だらけにして滑ったり、つかまって降りたり。自然と笑いや涙がこぼれます。 鎌倉の山のこんな自然の遊び場では、いくらでも楽しく冒険できます。 Nature at my fingertips! 指先で味わったよ！ Saying hello to a praying mantis is fun! This one was fairly large and not interested in joining the hike, although he did pause for a brief moment before hopping away. カマキリにこんにちは！ このとても大きなカマキリには、子どもたちと一緒に行く気はなかったみたい。でも、ピョンピョン去って行く前の少しの間、指に止まっていてくれました。
